Given her successful acting career as well as that of her husband Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes has grown accustomed to being away from home.
The ?Dawson?s Creek? darling recently shared a trick she uses to help her daughter Suri feel more comfortable during times of travel.
Katie explained, "Bring lots of crayons, glue good paper and you can turn any room into a very warm, familial place."
She continued, "My husband got me a sewing machine for my birthday. My mom grew up making curtains and pillows and everything, and it made our home very warm, so I like to do things like that with my daughter."
