Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: No 3-D

It will certainly still be one of the biggest films of the year, but it was announced today (October 8) that ?Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows? will not be in 3-D.

Back in February, Warner Bros. made the announcement to make the film three-dimensional, but most recently went back on that decision and instead will release it in 2-D. The reason? The 3-D conversion will not be finished in time for its November 19 release date.

The studio released a statement, explaining, "Despite everyone's best efforts, we were unable to convert the film in its entirety and meet the highest standards of quality. We do not want to disappoint fans who have long-anticipated the conclusion of this extraordinary journey, and to that end, we are releasing our film day-and-date on November 19, 2010 as planned.?

?We, in alignment with our filmmakers, believe this is the best course to take in order to ensure that our audiences enjoy the consummate 'Harry Potter' experience."
