If you thought the 1920s was all flappers and fringe, think again.
We got the inside scoop from Boardwalk Empire's costume designers, John Dunn and Lisa Padovani, to find out how they created an authentic wardrobe for the fabulous females of Atlantic City.
To start with, John and Lisa researched fashion magazines from this decade, and immersed themselves in films and personal accounts from the period.
